The Department of Earth Science offers graduate-level courses for teachers.

ESCI 511: Putting Earth Science into Action
This course presents Earth Science content and classroom implementation strategy. Participants may enroll any semester with the approval of the instructor. Highly subsidized tuition is available to teachers.

ESCI 515: Geophysical Field Work for Educators
This is an intensive, 2-week course offered during the summer. Participants must apply and be selected.

Additional information:

Earth Science Teaching Certificate:
Participants who complete all four courses will receive an Earth Science Teaching Certificate from Rice University.

Participants in ESCI 511 will receive 9 hours toward the TAGT Awareness Certificate
